Irondale celebrated its 125th Anniversary in 2012! The milestone was commemorated with a fireworks show at the 21st Annual Whistle Stop Festival on September 29th.
The City of Irondale, Alabama has a rich and colorful history dating back to the late 1800's and looks forward to a bright and prosperous future. But as we move forward we recognize the need to embrace and cherish our past that makes us who we are today.
It is within that spirit that we have come together to collect, learn and cherish our rich heritage and embrace our future here, in the the beautiful valley between Red Mountain and Shades Mountain, in The Historic City of Irondale.
